Bui Coffee Supply is a specialty coffee brand from Nam Ban, Lam Dong, Vietnam — a region famous for its high-quality Arabica and Robusta beans. They pride themselves on delivering coffee that’s farm-to-cup, sharing not just the flavour but also the authentic story of Vietnamese coffee culture.
When Bui Coffee Supply approached Thirsty Fox, they were looking for more than just a coffee bag. They wanted a signature packaging design that could stand out in the competitive specialty coffee market while reflecting the beauty and authenticity of their origins.
Our goal was to craft packaging that:
Captures the brand’s story through bold illustration and thoughtful design.
Appeals to modern specialty coffee drinkers in Vietnam and abroad.
Reflects the brand’s roots in Vietnamese coffee farming and culture.
Bui Coffee Supply needed a coffee bag design that would:
Highlight the origin – the coffee fields, mountain landscapes, and vibrant nature of Lam Dong.
Showcase the passion of founder Bui Canh, a coffee enthusiast committed to sustainable farming and quality roasting.
Balance artisanal charm with professional shelf presence for both retail and café sales.
Convey an authentic Vietnamese coffee identity while appealing to an international audience.
The packaging had to serve as both a storytelling canvas and a sales tool, making the product instantly recognisable and memorable.
As Bui Coffee Supply’s design partner, we took a design-to-print approach to ensure creativity translated seamlessly into production.
First, we built the story visually. A custom illustration captured Lam Dong’s highlands — coffee blossoms, ripe cherries, rolling mountains, and the founder enjoying a slow brew by the campfire. This instantly transports customers to the brand’s origin.
Next, we chose a warm palette of oranges, greens, and reds, echoing sunrise over the coffee fields. It evokes freshness, warmth, and authenticity — key in specialty coffee branding.
Finally, we balanced tradition and modernity: detailed storytelling paired with clean typography and export-ready layout. Founder-inspired elements added a human connection, while our production expertise ensured flawless print results.
